The list of project is currently being updated. Please continue to check back with us during October and November.
This project investigates how energy and cross helicity are transferred across scales in imbalanced reduced-magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. Using analytical theory and high-resolution numerical simulations, it aims to identify the nonlinear interactions that control the cascade and determine how they change with the degree of imbalance.
This project investigates why electron-temperature-gradient turbulence can produce runaway, non-saturating transport in tokamak pedestals. Using theory, reduced models, and gyrokinetic simulations, it aims to identify the regimes where this occurs and develop practical criteria for predicting its onset.
